Monthly Salary / Pay Scale

• Principal Research Officer: Rs. 1,10,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- per month
• Research Officer: Rs. 64,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- per month
• Research Associate: Rs. 45,000/- to Rs. 80,000/- per month

Other Relevant Details

• Experience Requirements:
  • Principal Research Officer: Minimum ten years of working experience in the Power sector, preferably in regulatory affairs and/or generation/ transmission/ distribution sectors.
  • Research Officer: Minimum four years of working experience in the Power sector, preferably in regulatory affairs and/or generation/ transmission/ distribution sectors.
  • Research Associate: Zero to three years' experience in the Power Sector/Regulatory work.
• Engagement Period: Initial engagement for two years, extendable up to one year on each occasion, with a maximum total period of four years.
• Performance-Related Pay: Staff consultants may be entitled to performance-related variable pay of up to 40% of the Monthly fee, based on achieving prespecified annual targets.
• Termination Clause: Agreement may be terminated by either party with one month's written notice or one month's consolidated professional fees in lieu. If a consultant leaves CERC within one year, three months' notice or fees in lieu are required. CERC can terminate for unsatisfactory performance or absence without prior intimation.
• Application Procedure (Hard Copy): Interested and eligible candidates are requested to submit a hard copy of the application in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) to the Dy. Chief (Admin.), 8th Floor, Tower-B, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi 110 029 by 27 February 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Separate application forms are required for each post if applying for more than one.
• Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance (TA/DA): No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the written examination and interaction at New Delhi.
• Document Verification: Candidates called for interaction must bring original documents relating to qualification, experience, and salary slips for the past six months for verification.
