    Educational Qualification

    Young Professional 1st class Full Time B.E./B.Tech from a recognized University/Institute in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Must possess at least ONE of the following certifications: CEH, CCSP, CISSP, CompTIA CySA+, GSEC, OSCP, CISM. Minimum 5 years of relevant cyber security experience in reputed companies/organizations.

    Monthly Salary / Pay Scale

    • Young Professional: Rs. 50,000/- (all inclusive) per month
    • Annual Increment: 8% annual increase in remuneration
    • Leave Entitlement: 1 day paid leave for every 20 days of work
    • Mediclaim Reimbursement: Up to Rs. 2,00,000/- premium reimbursement for group mediclaim policy (self, spouse, dependent children) for engagement exceeding 6 months
    • TA/DA for Official Duty: As per E-1 level officer standards for out-station deputation (no TA/DA for joining/completion)

    Key Responsibilities & Duties:

    • A. Security Architecture and Design:
      • Develop and maintain robust cyber security architecture aligned with NIST, ISO 27001 and other industry best practices.
      • Design and implement secure solutions for network segmentation, threat detection and incident response across IT and OT environments.
      • Collaborate with IT and OT teams to integrate cyber security controls into existing and upcoming systems.
      • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities and technologies and recommend necessary infrastructure enhancements.
    • B. Vulnerability Management:
      • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of IT and OT systems and networks.
      • Develop and monitor remediation plans for identified vulnerabilities.
      • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for timely patching and system updates.
    • C. Threat Detection and Incident Response:
      • Implement and continuously monitor security tools (IDS/IPS, SIEM) to detect anomalies and potential threats.
      • Lead cyber security incident response activities ensuring prompt containment, mitigation and post-incident analysis.
      • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and conduct forensic investigations when required.
    • D. Risk Management and Compliance:
      • Perform cyber risk assessments to identify threats and evaluate operational impact.
      • Ensure adherence to national/international standards, guidelines and data protection laws including CERT-In guidelines.
      • Develop, update and enforce cyber security policies, procedures and standards.
      • Lead internal audits and report findings to senior management.
    • E. Awareness and Training:
      • Design and deliver cyber security awareness programs for staff, contractors and third-party vendors.
      • Create security campaigns and materials to promote a security-aware culture across the organization.
    • F. Collaboration and Reporting:
      • Coordinate with IT, OT and functional departments to ensure a secure operational environment.
      • Prepare and present risk posture reports, threat intelligence and mitigation strategies to senior management.

    Required Skill Set:

    • Strong knowledge of cyber security concepts, principles and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
    • Hands-on experience with: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Protection Platforms; SIEM tools (e.g. Forti SIEM, Splunk); Vulnerability scanners (e.g. Nessus, Qualys); Incident response and digital forensics tools.
    • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical and incident handling capabilities.
    • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of IT and OT environment security.
    • Understanding of CERT-In guidelines and national cyber security frameworks.

    Important General Conditions:

    • Engagement is purely on fixed-term contract (temporary basis) and does not confer any right to permanent employment.
    • Appointment is on full-time basis; candidates are not permitted to take up any other assignment during the contract period.
    • SPMCIL reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time without assigning any reason.
    • Completion of tenure will not give any claim for future regular appointment in SPMCIL.
    • Tenure is: 3 years, extendable based on performance or liable to be terminated earlier.
    • If engagement falls during election period, it will be regulated as per Election Commission of India guidelines.

    Documents Required:

    • B.E./B.Tech degree certificate and all semester mark sheets.
    • Proof of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (conversion to percentage if only CGPA/grades are awarded).
    • Professional certification(s) – CEH/CCSP/CISSP/CompTIA CySA+/GSEC/OSCP/CISM (scanned copies).
    • Experience certificates from all previous and current employers proving minimum 5 years cyber security experience.
    • Updated detailed resume/CV highlighting cyber security expertise and achievements.
    • 10th/12th certificate as proof of date of birth.
    • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhar/PAN/Voter ID/Passport/Driving License).
    • Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC) or PwBD certificate, if applicable, in prescribed format.
    • Disability certificate issued by competent medical board (for PwBD).
    • Recent passport-size photographs as per specifications in notification.
