Recruitment Details

• Total Vacancies: 07 posts.
• Reservation for Women: 01 post reserved for women candidates (unreserved category).

• Selection Procedure:
  • Selection will be based on a One Stage Competitive Written Examination.
  • The examination will be conducted through MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) in CBRT/OMR (Computer Based Response Test/Optical Mark Recognition) mode.
  • The examination will consist of one question paper divided into Part-A and Part-B.
  • Part-A (Total 90 Marks): Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 marks), Mathematical Aptitude (30 marks), Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension (30 marks).
  • Part-B (Total 120 Marks): Questions related to the subject and its applications (120 marks). Subject syllabus will be as per the prescribed educational qualification.
  • Total Questions: 210 questions (Part-A: 90 questions + Part-B: 120 questions).
  • Total Time: 3 hours (180 minutes) for both parts combined.
  • Negative Marking: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum Qualifying Standard: 40% marks in Part-A and 40% marks in Part-B separately.
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on total marks obtained (or normalized marks) in the examination.

• Reserved Categories (All Women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, Disabled, Ex-Servicemen): Rs. 400/-
• Payment Mode: Online only through Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or Wallets.

• Note: Examination fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the examination. No refund for candidates who do not appear in the examination.

Monthly Salary / Pay Scale

• First 5 Years: Rs. 49,600/- per month (Fixed Pay)
• After 5 Years: Upon satisfactory service completion, candidates will be eligible for regular appointment in the pay scale of 7th Pay Commission Level-7: Rs. 39,900 - Rs. 1,26,600.
• Applicable Benefits: As per Finance Department resolutions dated 16 February 2006, 29 April 2010, 06 October 2011, 20 October 2014, 20 October 2015, 18 January 2017, and 18 October 2023.

Other Relevant Details

• Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per provisions of Rule-7 of Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• General Instructions:
  • Only online applications will be accepted through ojas.gujarat.gov.in.

  • Keep all original certificates (educational qualifications, age proof, caste certificate, disability certificate if applicable, etc.) with them while filling online application.
  • Once the application is confirmed, no changes will be allowed in any details.
  • Candidates must upload recent passport size photograph with white background taken within one year from the last date of application. The same photograph must be used throughout the recruitment process.
  • Mobile number and email ID provided in application form must remain active throughout the recruitment process.
  • Reserved category posts are reserved only for candidates who are originally from Gujarat.
  • For SEBC category candidates, Non-Creamy Layer certificate for financial year 2022-23/2023-24/2024-25 is mandatory.
  • Widow women candidates will get 5% additional marks in the competitive examination.
  • Sports quota candidates who have represented in National/International or Inter-University or All India School Federation competitions will get 5% additional marks.
  • Computer basic knowledge certificate is mandatory for appointment.
  • Candidates appearing in the examination must comply with all instructions given in the admit card.
  • Any unfair means adopted during examination will lead to disqualification and legal action under Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023.
