    • Total Vacancies: 30 (18 Unreserved, 5 ST, 2 SC, 1 BC-I, 2 BC-II, 2 EWS)
    • Selection Procedure:
      • Written Examination: Objective type, consisting of 5 papers of 200 marks each. Each paper will be of 2 hours duration. Total marks for written examination: 1000 marks.
      • Interview: 100 marks.
      • Total Marks: 1100 (1000 Written + 100 Interview).
      • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
        • General Category: 40%
        • Backward Class: 36.5%
        • Backward Class (Category-I): 34%
        • SC/ST and Female Category: 32%
        • Primitive Tribal Group: 30%
        • EWS: 40%

    Educational Qualification

    Drug Inspector (Aushadhi Nirikshak) Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law (as per Rule No. 49 of Drug & Cosmetics Rules 1945).

    Monthly Salary / Pay Scale

    • Drug Inspector (Aushadhi Nirikshak): PB-II, Rs. 9,300 - 34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400 (Level-9)

    Other Relevant Details

    • Experience Requirement: Candidates must have not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture or testing of at least one substance specified in Schedule C, OR not less than three years experience in the inspection of firms manufacturing Schedule C substances as a Drug Inspector.
    • Probation Period: 2 years.
    • Reservation Benefit: Only available to permanent residents of Jharkhand State. Candidates must submit a Local Resident Certificate and appropriate caste/income certificates.
    • Hard Copy Submission: The hard copy of the online application along with self-attested copies of all required certificates must be sent by Registered Post/Speed Post/Hand Delivery to: Examination Controller, Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Circular Road, Ranchi, 834001 by 05 March 2026 (05:00 PM).
    • Misconduct: Providing false information, suppressing material information, impersonation, or using unfair means may lead to disqualification.
    • Commission's Rights: The Commission reserves the right to postpone or cancel the selection process at any time without assigning any reason.
    • Final Authority: The decision of the Commission regarding eligibility and other matters will be final.
