Other Relevant Details

• Post-Qualification Experience (as on 01 February 2026):
  • For B.E/B.Tech candidates: Minimum 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in industry or defence laboratories.
  • For M.E/M.Tech candidates: Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in industry or defence laboratories.
• Essential Experience Areas:
  • Design of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), including modelling, structural analysis and thermal analysis.
  • Design of UAV subsystems, prototyping and evaluation, and system engineering of aerial vehicles.
  • Design of composite and metal structures, including manufacturing processes and structural testing.
  • Design of control systems for aerial vehicles and thermal analysis of aerospace structures.
  • Experience in aero-modelling or hardware projects related to aerial platforms.
  • Schematic diagram generation, PCB design and testing.
  • Ability to interface with evolving product requirements and airframe design revisions.
• Desirable Experience:
  • End-to-end solution development starting from high-level system requirements to final product realization.
  • Planning design activities and delivering functionalities through multi-stage design and review processes.
  • Design document review, guidance system and autopilot design and analysis for aerial vehicles.
  • Knowledge of communication systems used in aerospace/UAV applications.
  • Programming experience in C/C++, Python, ROS, ML and AI.
  • Simulator development for terrain generation, mission simulation and path planning.
• Important Notes on Experience:
  • Only relevant experience from industry or defence laboratories will be considered for eligibility and shortlisting.
  • Academic, teaching, apprenticeship, internship or purely research experience will not be counted as relevant experience.
  • Trainee, fixed-tenure, contractual or temporary engagements in BEL or other PSUs will not be treated as qualifying experience.
  • Experience without proper documentary proof may be rejected.
